A Conversation With Angels (The Sociable Spirit Alternate Frame Footage)
Shot on the grounds of Fair Lane (the home of Henry and Clara Ford), the original frame story of The Sociable Spirit was significantly different from the final print version.
In this iteration of the story, the character of Tobias, then a delivery man, was to meet the character of Raphael at his home. However, after reviewing dailies, the idea was scrapped in favor of a more ambiguous introduction.
These sound-free untreated shots are all that remain of the first day of shooting.
