Helping Hand

In the episode Helping Hand (2019), the astronaut identifies the satellite she is there to repair as "LV-426". LV-426 is a nod to James Cameron's Aliens (1986), where it is the name of the planetoid where the titular creatures are found. Although the planetoid and creature had already been seen in Ridley Scott's Alien (1979), the planetoid wasn't designated as LV-426 until Aliens.

Alex's arm would have taken about one week of direct exposure to outer space in order to freeze. The heat transfer mechanism of colliding molecules is extremely sparse in the vacuum of outer space, and since the temperature of outer space is -454 degrees Fahrenheit, which is less than 3 Kelvin above Absolute Zero, what few molecules that assist in heat transfer are moving extremely slowly, resulting in extremely slow heat transfer from her arm to outer space.
