Her Lips Are Mine is a dark animated crime-horror short about a woman who-like several others-gets kidnapped and has her face mutilated by a deranged psycho. She eventually escapes, but living with someone else's body parts attached to her face-especially when she knows who they came from-proves to be a torment of its own.

I understand the horror, the twists, and the discomfort that both the victims and the onlookers feel; the film clearly explores a disturbing obsession with physical identity and stolen beauty. However, despite being open to various horror sub-genres, I couldn't quite enjoy this one. It's unsettling and conceptually strong, but the execution didn't pull me in emotionally.
