While telling Prometheus of his plans, Zeus speaks of a man "burning his daughter to gain a fair wind". This is a reference to King Agamemnon, who killed a deer in a sacred grove, thereby offending the goddess Artemis. She interfered with the sea winds, thus preventing his fleet from leaving for Troy. Needing those favorable winds, Agamemnon sacrificed his daughter, Iphigenia, in order to gain them. By coincidence, the actor playing Prometheus (Stephen Dillane) also played Stannis Baratheon in Game of Thrones (2011), another king who sacrificed his daughter by fire.

Goofs
Hades is introduced as "God of death". In Greek mythology Hades is God of the dead, taking care of souls after death. Thanatos is the God of death, the Greek equivalent of the grim reaper.
