Tawny Dean was originally slated to play the alien, and Alan Twitty was cast as the cowboy. They had filmed the majority of the scenes, as you can see in the film. But after a falling out with the director, both actors parted ways, leaving director Louis Stevens to finish the movie playing both roles, himself, simultaneously.
