It was 1933, and Orson Welles, a cinema genius, was only 17 years old when he made this film. As it is known, he is also a theater person, and as can be seen in the film, we are mostly watching a theater stage. Orson Welles, who was studying at Todd School for Boys, shot the film with the camera of Roger Hill, his mentor. It can be said that this is a more amateur use of his signature low-angle shooting technique - the lens pointing upward - which we also see in his later works. On top of that, because the camera was a silent film camera, he later recorded his own narration onto a gramophone disc. The fact that it is in color is also an amazing thing. Even at 17, you can already sense that this person was going to do something great.
