Years ago I listened or watched, I cannot remember which, to an analysis of British (I think) comedy by some Doctor or other. It was utterly boring. This however was very much not. It may have helped to have the lecture presented by someone I liked of course, but I do not think that was the reason. I only see recording of programs because the BBC does not transmit them when I want to watch :-), but I am looking forward to watching the next event in the series.
