Dismal approach to a very serious subject

Divorced, single mother Jo has two preteen children and has recently had her much younger boyfriend move into the family's home. One day, she receives an anonymous text message from a person who insists her boyfriend is abusing her 11-year-old daughter. Jo isn't horrified enough to immediately react yet she spends the entire film milling over what to do.

Without spoiling the rest of the short film (it's barely an hour long), the plot barely gets going and then glosses over the seriousness of the allegations until the last 10 minutes. The acting isn't bad but the script needed a serious rewrite for the first 30 minutes.
