All About Joe (2017)

Excellent twenty-five minute interview with Joe Sarno biographer Michael Bowen who discusses the cult director's early career but the main focus is on his 1974 film A TOUCH OF GENIE. If you're familiar with the Sarno documentary, A LIFE IN DIRTY PICTURES, then you should know Bowen. He certainly makes this a highly entertaining featurette as there's some really great bits of information throughout the running time. The early stuff dealing with Sarno's early life and how he got into the movies was quite entertaining as well as the discussion on how the director ended up getting into porn. From here we hear about the making of A TOUCH OF GENIE where there are all sorts of great bits of information including its theatrical release. If you're a fan of the film or the director then this here is certainly a must-see simply because of all the great information on hand. Bowen does a very good job at keeping the viewer entertained as he's certainly fun to listen to.
