The film's choice of intense silence between the two main characters is so loaded with emotional pain that even the best screenplay writers would not dare disturb it with audible, film-padding speech. Instead, the use of high-quality cinematography holds the audience's hand and guides us along a fearful path that this deeply in-love couple has clearly already traveled. And we realize that we must now catch up. Having said that, this film's writer's intent is profoundly achieved by torturing the audience to the point at which we finally scream, "What's wrong? What has happened?" The film does definitively answer all questions in a way that both saddens and infuriates the heart. If this movie doesn't make you cry, you're not human.
