Andre: The Alchemist of Wine
The trailer presents Andre: The Alchemist of Wine, an 8-part historical drama series currently in development, inspired by the extraordinary life of legendary winemaker Andre Tchelistcheff. The series follows his journey from Imperial Russia through Europe to California, where he helped transform Napa Valley and American winemaking. His remarkable story is interwoven with subtle elements of mysticism. The pilot screenplay and the series bible for all eight episodes were written by William J. MacDonald, writer and executive producer of HBO s Rome. The series is based on the novel Tchelistcheff. The Wine Elf by Daniel Agron and Igor Dobrovolskiy, and the biography Maestro: André Tchelistcheff and the Rebirth of Napa Valley by James O. Gump. The trailer is narrated by actor Adrian Paul, star of Highlander: The Series and the Highlander films.
