A small-town bar audience in the Urals, attending a stand-up lecture, is whisked 60 years into the past. On that day, a Soviet cosmonaut performs a historic spacewalk. Meanwhile, engineer David Bimbat pilots the first Soviet helium airship. The astronaut is remembered by all. Bimbat is forgotten. But he was the one entrusted by Tsiolkovsky's secretary with reviving the great scientist's ideas. How did he end up in a tank-building city? And why did he start building airships there? This docudrama unveils - for the first time - the rise and fall of a dreamer-inventor who flew himself, and spent his life teaching others to fly.
