An Interesting and Dull Monkey Documentary

Part of me feels there is a bit that interests me. But at the same time, there are also times the movie can be dull. There may be interesting facts here, but the experience is forgettable at best. Orangutan is the type of animal documentary that there can be times I can learn from it, but there are other times where it is simply hard to follow. There can be good moments in this like the cinematography and some interesting facts worth learning about the orangutans and some of the other animals featured. However, the story is simply not that engaging. I know it's a nature documentary, but it never got to do something real interesting. All the movie involves is just how the orangutans grew up, how they left to be on their own, and how they're struggling to find food. In terms of my recommendation even for those that actually enjoy Disneynature, maybe it's a movie to watch at least once just to catch up. Other than that, there are better movies they've made like Chimpanzee. It's not a terrible documentary, but it's not the type of monkey film I would be swinging back soon.
