An inspiring documentary about healing and hope in Uganda

I watched The Comfort Dogs of Uganda at the Red Poppy Film Festival in Sydney, and it honestly left a strong impression on me. What stood out most was seeing how people in Uganda gradually changed their perspective on dogs and began embracing them as partners in healing and emotional support. That shift felt really powerful.

The personal stories featured in the film were deeply moving and gave a real sense of the impact the program is having on individuals and communities. I also appreciated that the documentary provided more background about the organization behind the work.

On top of that, the filmmaking itself was excellent. The lighting, interviews, and overall cinematography were beautifully done and made the stories even more engaging.

I definitely recommend watching this film if you get the chance, whether at a film festival or online in the future. It's a meaningful and well-made documentary.
