Director Aditya Dhar shot approximately 8 hours of footage during a back-to-back production cycle for the duology. The production team initially intended to release the project as a single film with a 2.5 hour theatrical run-time before electing to split the narrative into two distinct installments.The first installment, Dhurandhar (2025), features a total run-time of 214 minutes (approximately 3.5 hours). The sequel, Dhurandhar: The Revenge (2026), maintains a run-time of 229 minutes (3 hours 49 minutes), establishing it as the eighth longest Indian film produced.The studio scheduled a limited special engagement titled Dhurandhar: Director's Cut for release on April 5, 2026. This version combines both films into a continuous 7.5 hour cinematic experience featuring three scheduled intervals (this was found to be an April Fool's joke).

The final battle sequence contains an optical error where an M4 carbine produces a visible muzzle flash without a corresponding audio asset for the discharge. Production utilized post-production muzzle flash overlays that failed to synchronize with the final sound mix. This discrepancy occurred during the extensive principal photography schedule in Abu Dhabi, which involved over 400 specialized tactical props.

A subsequent exchange features the discharge of a Glock 17 sidearm that lacks a muzzle flash despite the audible report of the weapon. This technical oversight represents a failure in the digital asset integration phase. The film marks the second collaboration between director Aditya Dhar and action director Stefan Richter, following their work on specialized military procedurals.

The Central Board of Film Certification issued an "A" (Adults Only) certification to the film after ordering 21 specific modifications to the theatrical cut. The mandated adjustments required trimming visually graphic sequences, including reductions to scenes depicting individuals being assaulted with hammers and beheadings. The board further implemented the selective muting and replacement of profanities and cuss words within both the audio track and the localized subtitle files. These regulatory interventions reduced the Indian theatrical running time to 229 minutes, establishing a 6-minute variance from the 235-minute uncut version distributed for international overseas screenings.
