Rose finds her husband cheating on her with his secretary. With nobody to turn to, she decides to take her two sons, Franky and Sonny, and move back to Texas to be with her family, whom she has not seen in 10 years. Despite her fears of a potential culture shock for her sons and having to "face the music," Rose is convinced by her childhood best friend--gay designer Johnnie Rod--to come home and be with the people she had been running from for the past decade.
