I understand the negative comments about Claire Danes' "twitchy" portrayal of Aggie being similar to Carrie in Homeland but I think it reflects her acting gravitas because Ms. Danes is not a neurotic basket case IRL. The series effectively built tension and suspense with each episode while weaving together the characters and their backstories. The final episode nicely answers the viewer's questions and resolves the conflicts at the heart of the story. Not everyone gets or is entitled to a happy ending and karma plays a key role in some cases. Aggie's comments and honest acknowledgement of her role in key events was surprisingly candid and perhaps cathartic. I was hoping that we would know the fate of each character and was a bit disappointed when the ending didn't address a couple of the minor characters. Overall, I thought the series was very engaging and entertaining and felt satisfied with the final word.
