This is way past what I expected

I had read the book this movie series is based on, Lucifer's Daughter. To start I don't even know how to describe the book. I guess "philosophical fantasy" is the best I can come up with. It's about the Archangels, Lucifer and how he wants to be like the Creator and... creates his own daughter. There are scenes of such horror I had to take things carefully, yet scenes of love like I never thought possible. The story takes the archetypes of Angels and demons and not only reveals them in a way that makes perfect sense, inside of it all is astounding metaphysic philosophy. How all things came to be, and the Creator is plays such "knowing" close to the sheath as few could understand what a game of chance truly is. I loved it and have reread it for the love the pure poetry of the prose.

When getting an email that the author was doing a series of short films based on the book, I thought it wouldn't work. The prose alone would be one thing, and the concepts and relationships another that seemed to me the same as making a movie about a glint seen on water during a hard rain when you were nowhere near water. If you can think about that, they you would be a fan of the book, and now, this movie. It does what I think couldn't be done. Realizes what can't be understood or known. Woah, that is the effect reading the thing had on me. I've been talking "Angel" lately.

The film is reality not reality. Meaning, it's pure AI. Considering the nature of the story I think it's one of the times AI is wisely chosen. It's beautiful, and it's not like a traditional film. The images are working with the story and the prose used right from the book, and more than anything as the film is narrated by the characters who speak Angel Speak, it is hypnotic and it has a cadence and pacing that is just perfect for all that is said. It's as if each word is a story. Each sentence a road. It doesn't rush. It takes you on a journey that makes you think and feel what is told word by word.

It's a classic tale of good vs bad, and how all things began, and why hell was created, and what is nothingness and existence beyond existence and why the main character, Elsa, has daddy issues. You know, just another movie. If your name is Hasataan and you live in the madness of Abaddon, the hell all fear yet is only in the mind of the fallen one.

If you understand that, sure, it's just another movie. Watch it, and no movie will be a movie not movie no longer. That is the way anyone in the film would describe it. I describe it as a wonderful film that covers new ground that has been since before all things existed. Highly recommended.
