This horror short is actually one of the better ones from this director-I really enjoyed it. The story is simple but effective: stay out of the dark and try to survive until morning. But of course, they never make it easy, do they?

It immediately brought to mind young Newt from the 1986 blockbuster Aliens saying, "They mostly come at night... mostly." And I couldn't help but think of Vin Diesel in Pitch Black, desperately trying to keep the creatures at bay with whatever light he could find.

Beyond the solid premise, the film features strong cinematography, good acting, and a well-chosen color palette. And for a creature feature, the monster effects are impressively executed-the creature actually looks scary.

I'd be happy to watch more like this.
