In the introduction of the series, Doctor Best was interviewed by a panel called a CAB or Community Advisory Board (the more generic term is Physician Recruitment and Retention Committee) as part of Community Site Visit or a Community Interview. The Board is composed of the local stakeholders, such as shopkeepers, school principals, bankers, and government officials, of which the prospective candidate will be serving, and the purpose of these interviews is to determine the "match" fitness to meet the needs of its residents. These panels tend to be found in more rural areas of the country, where there more challenges to find candidates who are willing to make a long-term commitment to what some might consider a isolated "hardship posting".

Soy products do not contain estrogen. Soy contains phytoestrogen which is much weaker than estrogen found in humans and does not affect human chemistry. And though much misinformation persists on soy milk and soy products, there is no evidence that consumption of soy products result in gynecomastia. Cows milk actually does contain estrogen that is identical to human estrogen.
