Returned is a solid zombie horror short about a woman who escapes the living dead into an empty library. At first, things seem calm, but it soon becomes clear she may not be as alone as she thinks. The story keeps its momentum, unfolding toward a shocking revelation. And I've got to say-a library isn't the best place to be trapped during a zombie apocalypse. Plenty of food for thought, sure, but nothing for your stomach. Still, the setting gives the film a wry charm that works surprisingly well.
