Due to war, John, a middle-aged man, finds himself on a remote island, isolated from ordinary life and devoid of any familiar daily comforts or connection to the outside world. He is immediately confronted with the harshness of this new place, where he is not welcome. Unable to speak the language and unaware of the nuances of another culture, he feels-and appears to everyone around him-like an alien, a rabbit in an astronaut suit. John is assigned meaningless tasks since he looks different and lacks practical skills. Despite daily ridicule, the rabbit does not give up and tries to connect with those around him. Over time, John adapts to his environment and undergoes internal and external changes. From a strange creature, a rabbit in an astronaut suit, he transforms into a human, gradually resembling everyone else-just another part of the grey mass. Yet, in reality, John remains oppressed by the external world around him. One evening, while drinking with a colleague, an argument escalates into a physical fight. This conflict, a descent into primal brutality in its rawest form, marks the final stage of John's transformation into a human being. The rabbit notices his external change and, not understanding why he looks this way, tries to escape from his surroundings. But ultimately, John is haunted by the ghosts of his past-his traumas and the war.
