Nancy Cooney who played Taylor Welton in the first two seasons, was replaced by Emily Capshaw in season three. The reason for it was because Cooney started requesting payment, which could not happen due to the series' short budget.
Much of the series was filmed on practical locations rather than purpose-built sets, giving the production a grounded, realistic appearance despite its fictional premise.
Dialogue was often prioritized over exposition, leaving viewers to piece together parts of the story through character interactions rather than direct explanation.
