Great watch first... total mess at the end

Another quality K-Drama, really engaging first, but final episodes (IMHO) a letdown. To be honest, after finishing the lot, I thought that it was a mistake to invest so much time and walk away disappointed. The story is getting too confusing and murky at the end - I had to read &quot;ending explained&quot; to wrap my brain around it. I really liked absence of idiotic comedic infusions (as it happens more and more often in K-Dramas), great production and acting - but this mess at the end riuned for me. My advice - unless you are in for self-harm - give this one a miss.

Mousetrap

I enjoyed the beginning of the show because it kept me guessing. When it comes to mysteries/ dramas I typically enjoy a show that will give pieces of the plot and throughout the show, line these pieces up until they fit together like a well made puzzle. Mousetrap however, failed to do so. They did a good job with scattering the puzzle pieces by giving us really engaging and gripping pieces of drama, but unfortunately I feel as though they failed to place the pieces well together. At the beginning I was left guessing and wanting more, but by the middle of the show i felt more confused than captivated, I felt as though I was spending more time trying to understand the plot rather than truly being immersed in it. I felt as though there were too many side plots, unnecessary characters and they weren&#39;t being placed in a way where it made sense to the plot. Overall, I would recommend giving it a watch if you&#39;re looking for a unique concept, however I wouldn&#39;t vouch for it as the best show ever.

I like the plot the way each episode is giving us dopamine to solve the puzzle Ryu Junyeol did an amazing job and Sol kyunggu Was literally giving Yaksha vibe to it and I wanted to see the detactive I&#39;ve been his fan since ALL OF US ARE DEADA hope he got more Projects in future btw the BGM was instances the plot really liked the series.

The central mystery is built around a man trying to take back a life that someone else has already stolen. In an old Korean folktale, when a rat eats someone&#39;s clipped fingernails, they turn into that person. Moon-jae, a reclusive novelist who uses a pen name and hasn&#39;t left home in years, follows a solitary daily routine. Then the strange things start: his fingerprint won&#39;t unlock his phone, his passwords stop working, and one by one, the things tying him to his own identity slip out of his grasp. Stripped of his money, his name, and any way to prove himself, Moon-jae is plunged into chaos and sets out to hunt down a mysterious figure calling himself &quot;The Rat,&quot; who seems to know exactly who Moon-jae is. The characters may seem rather empty or lacking in certain ways, but it&#39;s interesting to see how they are the ones who ultimately drive the story forward. It&#39;s a story that keeps you guessing and searching for the truth, and I found it incredibly immersive-successfully modernizing traditional folklore into a dark thriller If you appreciate atmospheric neo-noir thrillers and mind-bending mysteries that don&#39;t hold your hand, this series is absolutely worth your time. 🎬

Mousetrap turns the familiar concept of identity theft into a tense, psychologically charged mystery, building its story around one question after another: What really happened in the past and most importantly who is the real &quot;Rat&quot;? The series handles its mystery exceptionally well, delivering phenomenal plot twists that keep us hooked right up to the final episode. What makes the storytelling particularly effective is how each revelation constantly reshapes what we think we know. Just when the pieces seem to fall into place, the series pulls the rug out from under us again, making the story increasingly layered without ever losing its central intrigue. While the series occasionally leans heavily into its convoluted plot, its commitment to keeping us questioning every revelation ultimately pays off. By the time the final pieces come together, Mousetrap proves to be a thoroughly engaging mystery thriller that understands the power of a well-placed twist.
