At the beginning of the reform and opening up, five law school graduates, Chen Yizhong, Yu Gaoyuan, Lu Zeming, Xia Yingjie and Zhang Lihui, entered different departments in the judicial field. Chen Yizhong felt that his knowledge was insufficient during his work at the municipal procuratorate and resigned to continue his studies at school. He also participated in the revision of the Criminal Law and the Criminal Procedure Law with his supervisor. Yu Gaoyuan worked in the court. Xia Yingjie adhered to fairness and justice and later died in the line of duty. Zhang Lihui became a prosecutor stationed in a prison and persisted in rectifying a miscarriage of justice. Lu Zeming became an outstanding criminal defense lawyer.
