Qiao Yuanchao, who dreams of joining the elite Armed Police Force, graduates from the Special Police Academy and joins the Cheetah Commando Unit. However, the harsh reality shatters his pride-he underperforms during the entry assessment and must start from scratch. With the help of repair team leader Zhang Lan, Qiao Yuanchao familiarizes himself with the specialized skills required of a special operations team member, earning the nickname "Curious Baby" for his habit of disassembling everything to learn how it works. Gradually, his efforts win the approval of Captain Ling Zhengrong. With the guidance of instructor Qiu Tian, Qiao overcomes his fear of water and heroically rescues a drowning person during an international dragon boat race. Later, the Cheetah Commando Unit is assigned an overseas security mission. Qiao and Ling fight side by side, accomplishing their mission with honor, but Zhang Lan makes the ultimate sacrifice. In an international counter-terrorism joint military exercise, the Cheetah Commando Unit secures first place with outstanding performance. Upon their triumphant return, all team members visit Zhang Lan's home together. Prominently displayed on a cabinet is the group photo of the Cheetah Commando Unit at the Armed Police Force's special operations competition.
