The cabin scenes were shot in an uninsulated cabin in freezing temperatures. Director Stian Svendsen used a syringe to fill the nose of actor Andreas Bjørkhaug with fake blood and with the window on his car stuck in open position Andreas had to drive home with a constant breeze on his face, leading to a sinus infection.
Actor Andreas Bjørkhaug was actually tied to the chair during the scene where he get's beat up. This led to him falling off the chair hitting his head on set decorations. He also hit his head on the rods of the camera system several times. This was solved by untying him and placing tennis balls on the rods of the camera system.
After principle photography was over, director Stian Svendsen rewrote the opening and ending of the film to make it better match the more epic story being told during the interrogation scene. The opening and ending was shot more than a year after principle photography had ended.
During shooting of the opening scene the camera broke down, leading to a 4 hour delay before a replacement camera made it to the set.
The film has had three different editors working on it, the final cut was done by Andreas Berg Nesse
