Its definitely a cute movie. The acting isn't horrible, there isn't significant bullying, cast is adorable. I did enjoy it. The reason for the low score is the low feel of intimacy or romance.

I would say the rub is where the FL Layla keeps lying to Josh to protect her secret. Initially I get it, but after 5 years, I don't. I understand not wanting to harm the potential of someone you love, but also you need to not be cruel. She keeps lying up until the near end of the movie, it detracted from the gaathering vibes of the ML and FL.

This is the writers error to me. They wrote Layla as trying to protect herself, her vanity and his future. I think it was an attempt to make her appear strong, and selfless. But after a certain point it failed for me because she wouldn't stop lying.
