The film's Writer/Director Fatima Loeliger (known mononymously amongst her friends as "Fatima") & star Christina Elmore were undergraduate classmates together at Harvard University.
The film's Writer/Director (Fatima Loeliger) and Star/Producer (James Francis Ginty) coined the term "Subversive Rom-Com" to describe the story's unique and somewhat complex tone and genre.
