Fu Yixiao, known for her red armor, turns the tide of war against Susha, but she is subsequently betrayed and shot down from a cliff by a mystery person. Yixiao wakes up with amnesia and is hunted by assassins, forcing her to live in hiding. Suige, while searching for the culprit behind his injury, crosses paths with a memory-lost Yixiao. Realizing she is connected to a larger conspiracy, the former enemies team up to navigate dangerous politics and survive.

Yixiao does not recognize Suige or her disciples, who appear looking for her. Due to Yixiao's memory loss and her need for safety, Suige and Yixiao navigate a tense, strategic partnership. Suige begins to protect Yixiao, notably saving her disciple, which causes Yixiao to wonder why he is acting ruthlessly yet gently, fostering a blooming, complex relationship between the pair.
