On top of that, its simplistic stylised animation style also deserves commendation, as it evokes a sense of stretching proportions and the harshness of the sun. The woman's interactions with her family are sweet and inviting, which contrasts strongly with the first introduction to the feral dog. What happens afterwards is a little muddled to me, as the dog's embrace is tied to the striving of the protagonist and her grandfather. I was left a bit confused by the end, but still had my heart warmed by the intensity of the woman's experience with the dog.
