About labor immigration during the 1960s and 1970s. Immigration meant a lot to the industrial expansion in Sweden, not least for Trelleborgs Gummifabriks AB, where the film's immigrants from different countries ended up for different reasons. How did they manage the language and the job? Many literally came straight from the agricultural fields of Hungary and the former Yugoslavia. What were they thinking when they ended up at a masikin in a factory building in distant Trelleborg? In a way, the history of the whole of Europe is involved in the film during these years.
