One of the most intense series of the year

This is an incredible series. Emotionally heavy, intense, disturbing, suffocating, and deeply human from beginning to end, but so well written, directed, and performed that it's impossible not to become completely invested in it.

Ruben and Niall are such destructive, complex, and emotionally broken characters that, at times, it felt like we were simply watching two real people slowly fall apart. And, as expected, there was no other way for this to end - they ended up destroying each other.

Richard Gadd wrote this in an absolutely brilliant way. The way he built not only this relationship, but also the individual traumas, pain, and personal struggles of each character, makes everything feel even more profound and human.

And the performances... Richard Gadd and Jamie Bell were absolutely phenomenal. There's an emotional intensity and a truth in every scene that makes it impossible not to feel everything these characters are going through. It's subtle, intense, and extremely powerful.

There's no denying it: this was the series of the year and it deserves every possible award.
