The various killers on Hackley's team are meant to represent the different time periods by parodying the killers from those eras: -Hyde is parodying Michael Myers and Halloween (1978). -Hackley Represents 80's Horror parodying Jason Voorhees and the Friday the 13th (1980) franchise. -Rival parodies Ghostface from Scream (1996). -Mitre-Saw is a parody of Jigsaw from the Saw (2004) franchise. -Rancid is a parody of Dr. Giggles (1992).

Goofs
At the 1:03:00 mark of the film, the character Rival's shirt changes. This happened because Justin Habersaat had filmed his scenes and left for the day. Then, after viewing dailies, the producers decided to add in Hackley throwing pizza at Rival, so writer Garrett Hargrove found a similar shirt at a nearby Goodwill and stepped in to play the role for that shot.
