This film was part of the Dallas 48 Hour Film Project. The team received the genre Horror/Fight Film. The short had to include a balloon, the character Captain Keith MacKenzie, and the dialogue "When you're right, you're right"
Balloon Man won 1st place in 6 categories nationwide including best director and best overall film in 2025. It screens internationally at Filmapoolza in Portugal in 2026 before qualifying for competition at The Cannes Film Festival.
