Quiet and well-mannered, Do Ba U once confessed his feelings in high school to his popular and charismatic friend Ji Hun. Ji Hun only remembers it as "forever friends". In college, still best friends Do Ba U tries to cut ties with Ji Hun.

Do Ba U proposes to Ji Hun, "Let's date for just one week." To Do Ba U's surprise, Ji Hun responds with a casual "Sure". However, Do Ba U is now more confused, and as the week goes on, he begins to feel hurt by this insincere attitude.

Do Ba U agrees to work on a project with Jung Ha Min. Meanwhile, Ji Hun misunderstands this relationship as a "stalking situation" and expresses excessive affection toward Do Ba U. Do Ba U now mind racing with emotional confusion.

Do Ba Woo and Ji Hoon are in the middle of their "dating for a week." Ji Hoon thinks Ba Woo is doing it to get rid of a stalker, so he went all out on their all-day date. In the meantime, Jeong Ha Min, thinking Ba Woo's notebook was fictional, has hired him for help in the webtoon competition. Ji Hoon's band mates are nagging him to join in a group dating event, along with Ba Woo.

When Ji Hoon's band mates informed Ba Woo that Ji Hoon was going to join the group dating event, Ba Woo decided not to confess after all. When Ji Hoon finds him and point blank asks him if he likes him, Ba Woo says no. He's dejected, always hoping and always being let down. The next day, Ba Woo hides from Ji Hoon and hangs out with Ha Min instead, but Ji Hoon sees them. So, Ji Hoon calls Ba Woo and pretends to be sick. A confrontation happens where Ba Woo says that being with Ji Hoon is no longer all fun.

Ha Min has become Ba Woo's main sounding board and is quick to take Ba Woo's side when it comes to Ji Hoon. It seems like he has an interest in separating the two friends so he can by Ba Woo's side instead. When Ha Min meets Ji Hoon at the library, he tells Ji Hoon that he won't be friends with Ba Woo in a few days. Ji Hoon agonizes over his past conversations with Ba Woo, trying to figure out where it all went wrong. As he searches the library again, he finds Ha Min has left his books unattended, along with Ba Woo's green notebook.

Hoon confesses his feelings, but Bawoo believes it's out of pity and turns him down. Hamin steps back, realizing Bawoo still loves Hoon. When they finally open up, it's too late-Bawoo decides to end things.

Bawoo rejects Hoon's confession and tries to end things. Hoon leaves a heartfelt message in a notebook. After reading it, Bawoo confesses his feelings. Hoon reveals he's liked Bawoo since middle school, and they kiss.
