Service is more than just helping people in need. It's connecting with people. It's improving your community and world. It's providing hope. The best part is you're not only serving others, but you're serving yourself. You're testing your personal limits and discovering more about yourself. In May 2013, the two-time NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament team from South Dakota State University answered the call to serve in Haiti with Samaritan's Feet and Feed the Hunger. The players wanted an off court challenge greater than any on court opponent. They washed feet, distributed shoes and food, and experienced Haitian culture. The players connected with those they were serving. And, they came home to share their inspiring story as a way to encourage others to serve.
