A crazed woman shoots a lone police officer after being pulled over. As he slumps to the ground she walks over to him and administers a head shot as well.
The crazed woman gets a rock hit upside her head.
The cop mom enters an apartment and is immediately attacked by a man with a baseball bat, except she seamlessly dodges every single swing, then knocks him over before running after another person.

Fresh outta prison and this crazed lady has stolen a van and somehow already has a loaded gun (well this is America so...).
The crazed woman casually abducts a teenage girl at gunpoint from her friends. She has convinced herself that this is her (deceased) daughter. A fact that the girl gradually learns to adopt to survive while always trying to find a means of escape.
The crazed woman and her teen hostage simply buying items at a convenience store where the old clerk lady recognizes them is very tense.
Once the crazed woman has the girl isolated on a remote island, maybe also still reeling from the hit on her head, she seems to have finally come to terms with the fact that her actual daughter died long ago... and that this girl is not her... so she aims her gun at her ready to kill her...
