Fourteen-year-old Janek is a quiet, sensitive boy who faces bullying at school, violence at home, and the indifference of those around him on a daily basis. At school, he is an outsider - an easy target for Richard and his gang. Richard, the group's leader, pressures him to bring a bottle of alcohol. When Janek confesses that he couldn't buy it, Richard threatens him. This bullying is ignored at school, even by the teacher - who happens to be Richard's mother.

Things are no better at home. Janek's father is strict, often drunk, and has zero tolerance for mistakes. When Janek secretly takes a bottle of plum brandy from the fridge, his father finds out and hits him without hesitation. His mother still lives with them, but she's locked away in her own world - exhausted and apathetic, unable to notice Janek's struggles. The only person Janek has a bond with is his older brother Radek, who has already moved out and only visits occasionally. During one of his visits, he takes Janek on a trip. These moments together are Janek's rare escape from his harsh everyday reality. And yet, even on this trip, his thoughts are overshadowed by messages from Richard, making it clear that another day in school will be pure hell.

The following day turns out to be crucial for Janek. On his way to school, Richard and his gang ambush him. After insults and physical assault, Janek, overwhelmed by fear, wets himself. The boys film the incident on their phones, and the video quickly starts circulating among classmates. When Janek gets home, he tries to wash his pants, but the worst is yet to come - the video ends up online, and he becomes the target of ridicule and cruel comments.

The next day is pure torment for Janek. Everywhere he turns, he is met with mockery and scornful looks. Desperate, he seeks help and confides in his homeroom teacher, telling her about the bullying. But she brushes him off, refusing to believe that her son Richard could ever be capable of something like that. In that moment, Janek's last hope that anyone would help him shatters completely.

That evening, sitting in his room, Janek writes a farewell letter. He knows he can't go on. He takes his father's gun and leaves the house.

A few days later, the homeroom teacher starts noticing Janek's absence from school. Annoyed at first, she doesn't give it much thought - until one day, Radek is waiting for her in the hallway. He hands her a letter and tells her that Janek has taken his own life. The teacher is shaken to the core. She realizes the part she played in his death - just like everyone else who ignored him and let him suffer until he saw no other way out.
