There is little redeeming about this film. The bullied pupil is played with sympathy and his brother in the story is supportive but his parents, the entire membership of the school, and the teaching faculty are all useless or worse. It is difficult to believe this is based on actual events as finding a school with all the pupils indifferent or cruel monsters must be extremely rare indeed.
