While speeding on the freeway to his recently deceased friend's funeral, a song from his 'favorites' playlist, tied to the friend he had previously lost, suddenly began to play. As he thought about them both, an alarm on his phone unexpectedly went off. The music slowed down unnaturally when he dismissed it, despite streaming from a service. After fumbling with the controls, he eventually eased off the gas, stopped the music, and sat in silence, imagining his friends together, laughing at him from beyond. Smiling through the grief, he shouted to the sky, "Y'all f---ing with me, huh!" before restarting the song, which then played normally.
Later, he realized that slowing down may have saved his life - and it felt like his friends were the ones trying to tell him.
