This sequel series to the movie Clueless (1995), which would have seen Alicia Silverstone reprise the role of Cher Horowitz, was announced as being in development for the Peacock streamer in April 2025. Then Peacock announced in April 2026 that it won't be continuing with the project. A reason wasn't given, but, according to sources, CBS Studios and Paramount remained high on the project and the IP. Given the rabid fanbase for the film and the auspices it boasts, it was expected to generate significant interest in the marketplace if it was taken out to buyers once again
