It is mentioned that Agnes' ancestor Robert Livingston purchased 95,000 acres of land in upstate New York, what was later named Livingston Manor. 95,000 acres is the equivalent of 148 square miles. Robert Livingston the Elder was a prominent landowner and politician in the 18th century New York, leading up to the American Revolution and since the Supreme Court had yet to be established, administered the oath of office to George Washington during the very first Presidential inauguration at Federal Hall in NYC.
