Rejected by the Sundance Film Festival and SXSW Film Festival. Speaking with IndieWire on the Sundance rejection, Oscar Boyson said, "I think that is such a damn shame, because this movie would have slayed at Sundance. Everybody goes to Sundance looking to bring a story back to wherever they're from about something that was new and fresh. Most shots of Solomon driving were filmed on actual Texas roads, with Asa Butterfield operating the vehicle. Butterfield, a native British driver, found it difficult to adjust to driving on the other side of the road while simultaneously delivering his lines and keeping the car within the frame.
