Xin Niang came to inherit Shu Qin's ancestral home, which she later found to have been looked after by a former worker of the Li family in Qing Shu. He explained that the ancestral home was initially left vacant after the Li family became successful and moved out of there. It was later bought back by Shu Qin who instructed Qing Shu to look after it until Xin Niang's return.
