Alba lives in a 1920s film - a silent, black-and-white one. Every day follows the same script: she finds herself in the garden of her villa in the countryside above Trento, gazing at the distant city shimmering with the promise of a brighter future. But her daydreams are constantly interrupted by a marriage proposal from a man she has no intention of marrying. Then one day, quite unexpectedly, while once again fleeing from a life already mapped out for her, magic comes to her aid: Alba finds a small wooden box on the ground and, without thinking twice, she opens it. As if by enchantment, she finds herself in a movie theatre. On the screen, play images from her world, faded by the grain of a film more than a hundred years old. Frightened, Alba rushes out of the theatre and discovers she is no longer in 1920s Trento, but in Milan - a city where clothes like hers are long out of fashion, the noise is deafening, and the colours... overwhelmingly vivid. But more than anything, she finds herself in a world without a script. Unlike her old life, here in Milan in 2025, nothing is predetermined - everything is an improvisation and an unexpected outcome. Alba meets a disillusioned and resigned young man. Together they embark on a journey from dawn to dusk: a journey of self-discovery, love, friendship, learning to accept oneself and others, and embracing the courage to follow one's dreams.
