I made an account just so I could review this, because the current 6.5 score does not do it justice! This is not just another Danish DR mystery series - it aspires to and achieves cinematic standards: photography, sound (!!), incredible acting and a story that weaves together family trauma, the supernatural and social justice without ever becoming trite or banal. In an interview the director pointed to Lars von Trier and David Lynch as influences, but as a child of the 70s/80s I was also reminded of the deep-cutting fims of Kieslovsky (Trois Couleurs). Must see!
