Rainbow's Tale is an episodic film that connects seven stories of children facing different forms of violence, exploring how unresolved childhood trauma can lead to struggles in adulthood, perpetuating a cycle of hurt and harmful behavior

Kian Pirfalak was a nine-year-old Iranian boy tragically killed during the " Woman, Life, Freedom" movement in Iran. He was shot by government security forces while sitting in his parent's car. Kian's unnecessary death deeply moved me, Inspiring the idea to create a film focusing on violence against children. During my research, I explored various subjects, each with its own unique appeal. Ultimately, I decided on an episodic film format that would allow me to show different forms of violence through various perspectives. I believe that a child's behavior is shaped by their experiences, and even when a child acts violently, we must understand what they have faced that led to such actions. In a touching and widely shared home video, Kian began his words with "In the name of the God of the Rainbow" In his memory, I have dedicated this film to him and named it Rainbow's Tale. Each episode is represented by a different color of the rainbow, offering an exploration of this difficult topic.

Through these episodes, the film explores how childhood experiences shape young minds, offering a powerful look into the pain, resilience, and often misunderstood actions of children. 1. A young boy endures a brutal beating from an adult when he attempts to collect his father's unpaid wages, exposing the harsh realities of economic exploitation. 2. A girl and a boy are pushed into a forced marriage during their childhood, highlighting the loss of innocence and autonomy in cultures where child marriage persists. 3. A girl fiercely opposes the regime which is creating a painful rift between family loyalty and personal beliefs. 4. A group of children embarks on a dangerous journey to America with a plan to assassinate Trump, whom they blame for the suffering in their homeland. 5. A young girl, consumed by years of family trauma, seeks revenge against her grandmother, whom she holds responsible for her suffering. 6. A lonely girl confides in an imaginary friend as she struggles to cope with the constant fighting of her parents and lack of love in her home. 7. A girl, infatuated with her teacher, becomes determined to win his love, showing the emotional confusion and longing for affection. Through the metaphor of the rainbow, each episode is represented by a different color, symbolizing the spectrum of emotions and experiences that shape the lives of these children. Rainbow's Tale is a heartfelt dedication to Kian Pirfalak, a young boy whose tragic death during the "Woman, Life, Freedom" movement in Iran inspired this film. In his memory, the stories aim to uncover the hidden narratives of children living in the shadows of violence and trauma.
