Marja, 16, leads a carefree teenage life: a pleasant school, nice friends, gets along well with her brother Bert and certainly with her live-in grandfather. The relationship with her parents could be a lot better, because her father, who is trying to make a career at a bank, never really has time for her and her mother - secretary to a grumpy boss - neither. However, Marja's carefree life is completely clouded on the day that the math teacher rapes her. She is completely out of balance, fears that she is now expecting a child and cannot tell anyone about her problems, although everyone who notices that she is not her usual self is happy to help. Eventually she tells Bert, who swears furiously that the teacher will get revenge and who informs the parents that same day.
