There is a non-exploitative and non-explicit depiction of sexual activity between two persons of the same gender.

The film contains an implied scene of homosexual activity between Oscar and a stranger whom he meets at a party. The sexual act is only implied as the scene is shown without detail, with the camera focusing mainly on the protagonist's upper body and facial expressions.

The film contains some scenes of violence.

In one of the scenes, Oscar hallucinates that he is pulling out an iron rod that is protruding from his abdomen.

In another sequence, a group of boys is seen attacking another boy with an iron rod. There is a close-up shot of the iron rod being twisted, suggesting that it is being used to inflict pain on the victim. The focus, however, is on the rod with no depiction of the victim's reaction. In a later scene, the rod is seen lying next to the victim, with blood stains on it.

While strongly suggestive, the scenes are presented briefly and do not portray any detailed infliction of pain or injuries.

There are various utterances of coarse language, such as the expletive "f**k", in the film.

Characters smoke weed in two scenes. In a party scene, characters are briefly seen taking ecstasy.
